Interesting facts
"Trus" Roble is a red dry wine, a "journey through the coolest Ribera and the youngest vineyards of the winery". It is produced from Tempranillo grapes harvested from vineyards located at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level on limestone-clay and sandy soils. The harvest is done manually, allowing for careful selection of only the best bunches. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24 °C lasts for 10 days. The final stage is aging for 4 months in French oak barrels, where the wine undergoes natural clarification and acquires its unique qualities.
About the Manufacturer
The Palacios Vinos de Finca winery embodies two of the most significant and renowned terroirs in Spain. It combines three unique wineries: Nivarius and Proelio in Rioja DOC, located at an altitude of about 750 meters, and Trus in DO Ribera del Duero, where fresh interpretations of classic wines from the region are created. Small plots of land, tested by time and overcoming natural challenges, form the basis of the Proelio winery. Here, old vines of Garnacha Tinta, Tempranillo, Graciano, and Maturana grow, producing lively, expressive, and long-lived wines. At Palacios Vinos de Finca, traditional wines are crafted. A unique approach to the treatment of each plot allows for the preservation of the individuality of the terroir. The high-altitude vineyards, located in a cool climate, are meticulously tended to produce wines that convey the character of Rioja.
