About the Manufacturer
The origins of the Clerc estate, originally located in the main square of Puligny-Montrachet, date back to the 16th century. After retiring in 2002, Bernard Clerc entrusted Vincent Girardin with managing his vineyards and winemaking. The Clerc estate, with 11 hectares of vineyards, is concentrated in Puligny-Montrachet and includes 3 Grand Cru varieties. The vineyards are cultivated organically and biodynamically. Herbicides and insecticides are not used, and the soils are regularly plowed. The vines are specially trained to enhance photosynthesis. The traditional Clerc label has been modernized and is now as elegant and refined as the wines themselves.
