About the Manufacturer
For the Leflaive family, winemaking is a heritage passed down through generations like a treasure. Olivier is the eighteenth of them. In 1984, he founded his own winery and the Olivier Leflaive wine house. In just a few years, the name became unique, a benchmark in the Côte de Beaune. Later, his brother Patrick joined him, then his daughter Julie and former son-in-law Jean Soubeyran. Owning 100 hectares of vineyards, 26 of which belong to the estate, and 82 vineyard plots, including the famous Grands Crus Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, and Montrachet, the estate pays homage to these renowned Burgundy vineyards, respecting traditional methods and the transmission of knowledge across generations. Hand harvesting and skillful aging in barrels, carried out by his passionate team, allow the House to create elegant wines that are remarkable in every way. The white wines are exceptionally refined, while the reds are perfectly balanced with intensity. The sparkling wine Valentin, Olivier Leflaive's latest creation, transplants his Burgundian expertise to the terroir of Champagne, creating a completely unique sparkle. In 2020, management of the hotel was transferred between Olivier and Julie, who completely redesigned it, giving it a modern look.
