The wines of the "Bardos" series, for which the grapes are hand-picked from the oldest vineyards in the Ribera del Duero and Rueda regions, reflect the individuality of the Castilian landscape and climate. It is rare to find wines as elegant and refined in this area. To create the dry red wine "Bardos" Reserva, Tinto del País (also known as Tempranillo) and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are used. The harvest comes from both an old vineyard with 60-year-old vines located in the Fuentemolinos area and a younger adjacent vineyard with 20-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Fermentation and gentle maceration take place in stainless steel tanks at 18 ºC for 4 weeks. After malolactic fermentation with weekly batonnage in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels.
