Interesting facts
The deep layers of the Château Reynon vineyard soil lie on a clay stratum, which provides excellent soil moisture. On the mid-slopes, the soil is composed of clay, limestone and protruding rocky outcrops; the foothills are sandy. The vineyard is cultivated using traditional methods, using only organic fertilizers made on a plant basis (compost). All work is done by hand. Thus, the vines, "growing as in a garden", in a natural environment, produce an early harvest, and the berries are distinguished by a smooth, bright, fresh fruit aroma. The grapes are picked by hand; the maceration process takes from 20 to 25 days at a moderate temperature (25-30 °C). The wine matures for 12 months in oak barrels (a third of which are brand new).
