Intense ruby-red, with an attractive shine.
Expressive, where, like a symphony, notes of ripe dark fruits, dry herbs, spicy spices, and wood are intertwined.
Full-bodied wine, with a powerful, rich, complex flavor, soft tannins, perfectly balanced acidity, hints of plum, cherry, vanilla, and wood, smoothly transitioning into an incredibly long aftertaste.

About the Manufacturer
The Mazzei wine house has a rich history that spans about nine centuries. The Mazzei family first appeared in documents in the 11th century — at that time, the family lived in Carmignano, engaged in winemaking and wooden barrel production. In 1435, the Mazzei family purchased a vineyard in the famous Chianti Classico region. Here, a small winery was built, where exquisite Italian wines were produced. In principle, the Mazzei could have not engaged in this at all — fortunately, they had enough money for everything, and even more. But still, something told the winemakers: making Italian wines is not just a hobby. In the 18th century, Mazzei wines reached a qualitatively new level. Some believe that this was the work of Filippo Mazzei, an active and ambitious man. Among his friends were not only famous winemakers — it is known that in his close circle was also American President Thomas Jefferson, who, by the way, was also a lover of good alcohol. When the head of the White House turned to Filippo for help in experiments with grapevines, Mazzei could not refuse his friend. It is believed that it was Jefferson who contributed to the rapid establishment of Mazzei wines in the US alcohol market. Today, Mazzei wines are sold all over the world, and among their fans are many famous people. All this became possible thanks to the enormous labor of more than one generation of the famous family, who knew that sooner or later their wines would achieve success and global recognition. The Mazzei family estate is located on a high hill, in the very heart of Chianti Classico, among the most beautiful vineyards. The famous legend of the Gallo Nero (black rooster), which adorns the emblem of the Chianti Classico consortium, ended here. Famous critics call Mazzei wines truly Tuscan. They demonstrate a bright original style characteristic only of this region. The Mazzei family has three winemaking projects: Castello di Fonterutoli in the family area of Chianti Classico, Belguardo in the fashionable Maremma area, and Zisola – a young project in Sicily.
