Interesting facts
The only Mediterranean grape variety grown in Alsace, Muscat Ottonel (85%) and Muscat d'Alsace (15%). While the latter is very expressive and aromatic, it is the Ottonel that allows for a well-balanced wine, maintaining an interesting acidity and providing this cuvée with an intense and crisp fruit flavor. Domaine Allimant-Laugner was founded in 1965 following the marriage of Mariette Allimant and René Laugner, which united two of the best winemaking families in Alsace. Today, the estate is in the capable hands of three generations of the Allimant-Laugner family, who are committed to producing the finest wines while preserving their land in excellent condition for future generations. The family works on 12 hectares of premier vineyards, planted on a mix of limestone, granite, and clay soils.
