Interesting facts
A special pride of the estate, the "Rochoy" vineyard is located on a slope with unique gravel soils rich in silicon. Historically, the site of the vineyard was home to Gallo-Roman quarries known as Rochetum, from which the name "Rochoy" is derived. The wine is aged on the lees for 5 months in neutral containers, then fermented in steel containers.

Founded in 1850 in the heart of Sancerre, Domaine Laporte is known for the unparalleled quality of its wines - Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. The estate owns 20 hectares of vineyards in the Loire Valley, as well as vineyards in New Zealand (Marlborough). The pride of the estate is Domaine Rochoy, a vineyard of about 10 hectares located near the town of Saint-Satur, just a few kilometers from Sancerre.
