Interesting facts
"Clos Beauregard" is a dry red wine made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the Pomerol appellation. Located northeast of the border with Libourne, Pomerol is the smallest appellation of the great Bordeaux wine region, covering just 750 hectares of vines. The exceptional soil, composed of a layer of dense dark clay rich in iron, is conducive to cultivating the best Merlot, the king variety of the region. Production standards in Pomerol are very high, resulting in exceptional quality, taste, and aroma of the wine. Traditional methods are used in the vineyards, allowing the grapes to achieve optimal ripeness with concentrated aromas, excellent tannins, and thus creating a more stylish and complex wine with a vivid expression of the terroir. The harvest is hand-picked when the berries reach optimal ripeness and is carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 25 °C in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 16-24 months.
