Fritz Walter, Spatburgunder Trocken is a seductive dry red wine made from Spätburgunder grapes, better known as Pinot Noir. The region's moderate climate, with warm summers and relatively mild winters, allows the Spätburgunder wines from this area to become powerful and full-bodied. The harvest is carried out when the berries reach optimal ripeness. At the winery, the grapes undergo traditional vinification with controlled temperatures at every stage of production. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels. The Spätburgunder Trocken is an excellent companion for cozy evenings by the fireplace and pairs beautifully with Mediterranean dishes, roasted lamb fillet with a herb crust, potato gratin, and ratatouille.

The Fritz Walter family winery is located in the heart of the Southern Palatinate, in the town of Bad Bergzabern.
