About the Manufacturer
Château Brane-Cantenac traces its origins back to the 18th century, initially bearing the name Château Gras, after its founder. Long before the 1855 classification, its excellent wines had made the Château famous both in France and far beyond its borders. Therefore, it is no surprise that the renowned winemaker Baron de Brane, called the "Napoleon of the Vine" in his circles, acquired this magnificent estate in 1833 and gave it his name — Château Brane-Cantenac.
