Interesting facts
Domaine Arnaud Ente, Bourgogne Chardonnay AOC is an exquisite, luxurious white wine made from Chardonnay grapes. The berries grow on the estate's vineyards on limestone-clay soils. The harvest is done manually at the optimal ripeness of the berries, and at the winery, the fruits undergo gentle pressing followed by vinification in large 600-liter oak barrels with strict temperature control. The wine is aged in small French oak barrels for 10-11 months and then for 6 months in neutral tanks.
About the Manufacturer
Domaine Arnaud Ente is a small winery founded in 1992. The young Ente family began their activities on rented vineyards. Today, Domaine Arnaud Ente is among the top four producers in Meursault, although it owns just over 4 hectares of land. The largest vineyard is located on rich clay soils in En L'Ormeau, slightly below the center of Meursault. From its harvest, considering the age of the vines and their location on the vineyard, wines Meursault AOC - "Sev Clos" and "Clos des Ambr" are produced. The family also owns plots "La Goutte d'Or" in Premier Cru Meursault, "Les Referts" in Puligny-Montrachet, and "Les Petits Charrons". Arnaud and his wife Marie-Odile strive to create elegant, pure mineral wines, and therefore the vineyards they work on by hand are treated with special care and yield small quantities of high quality. In order to preserve the best characteristics of the grapes and the natural, authentic taste of the drink, Arnaud carefully and in very limited quantities uses new oak barrels. The products of Domaine Arnaud Ente, produced in small batches and still little known outside France, can successfully compete with the best wines of Burgundy. Already today, wines from Arnaud Ente, recognized by many critics, can be found in expensive restaurants across the country, but devoted to their craft, the couple continues to work on perfecting their drinks. With each new harvest, they present to consumers more complex and vibrant wines that combine original purity of fruit flavor and characteristic features of the terroirs.
