Movia Puro Rose
Brilliant light pink with a beautiful copper hue, numerous tiny and quite persistent pearl-like bubbles.
Expressive, woven from seductive tones of ripe raspberry, currant, red orange, and pomegranate, followed by hints of yeast dough, vanilla, almond, butter, bread crust, and Mediterranean herbs.
Dry, yet very soft, fresh taste, with expressive minerality, emphasized elegance, and excellent structure. The long aftertaste plays with nuances of tart red orange and forest strawberry.
The sparkling wine is perfect as an aperitif, elegantly pairing with salmon tartare, chickpea hummus, various ceviches, sashimi, nigiri or nori sushi, and avocado-based dishes.

Interesting facts
"Puro" Rose is one of the most interesting wines from the Movia estate. This sparkling wine is created using the classic Puro technology, without the use of sulfur and preservatives, sugar, and artificial yeasts. The wine is made from late-harvest Pinot Noir grapes grown in a biodynamic vineyard in Brda. At the winery, the grapes are separated from the stems and pressed, the resulting juice is decanted until it naturally clarifies. The fermentation process begins in stainless steel tanks and finishes in 225-liter barrels. After a year of aging in barrels, the base wine is bottled. Instead of the usual tirage liqueur, grape juice from the current year's harvest is used. The grape juice contains natural sugar (fructose) and wild yeasts. "Puro" is a sparkling wine without added sulfur, as the name suggests. After bottling, slow secondary fermentation continues. The "Puro" Rose bottles are stored upside down in the winery's cellars, and the wine can age for many years. The bottle is opened in a special way underwater. "Puro" Rose is not a classic light sparkling wine, which maintains excellent form even after 10-15 years of storage.
About the Manufacturer
The Movia estate was founded in 1700, and since 1820 it has been owned by the Kristancic family. Wine production here began in the mid-eighteenth century, and by the nineteenth century, the estate's wines were sold in Vienna and Rome. The estate covers 22 hectares: half of it is located in Slovenia, in Goriska Brda, and the other half in the Italian territory of Collio. The current owner of the estate, Aleš Kristancic, studied winemaking in France and Italy. Aleš preserves local recipes for wine production and adheres to traditional family techniques. The estate cultivates white varieties — Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Ribolla, Picolit, Friulano, and red varieties — Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Refosco. All work in the vineyards and winery follows biodynamic principles.
